Use of AI for Preparing Court Documents: Final Report – Civil Justice Council

‘This Report is the final of two reports the CJC’s Working Group on the Use of AI for Preparing Court Documents has produced concerning the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the preparation of court documents. Court documents are those documents prepared for the purpose of being provided to the court. The Working Group’s first publication, Interim Report and Consultation, was published on 17 February 2026 (the Interim Report). It explained the context and, particularly, the rapid development of the use of AI in legal proceedings in the civil courts in England and Wales. It further noted different approaches to the regulation of such use in other jurisdictions.’
