‘This presentation examined a number of developments down the ages which have had the potential to increase transparency and public awareness of the justice system. It considers how technology from architecture to artificial intelligence can make legal information more accessible and transparent and the justice system more responsive to people’s needs. There has been a democratisation of access to information via the internet, while traditional journalism has been supplemented by legal blogging and podcasts. Yet there remains a role for specialist legal publishers and service providers, maintaining values of accuracy, provenance and authority while harnessing technology to improve delivery, scope and convenience.’
