‘The Al Regulation came into force on 1 August 2024. It created the basis for the regulation of artificial intelligence in the EU. Although it may still seem new to many, its regulatory concept is not. Instead, the EU is focussing on extending the proven model of the New Legislative Framework (NLF) from the product safety law to AI.’
